UAZ Periodic Maintenance – What, When, and Why
Good maintenance is the key to a reliable UAZ. Following the recommended inspection schedule prevents breakdowns and extends your vehicle’s life. This guide explains what to check and replace at each interval – even if you have little technical experience.
Why Periodic Maintenance Is Important
The UAZ is built for adventure, but like any machine, it requires regular care. Timely replacement of oil, filters, rubber parts, and fluids prevents damage and costly repairs. Think of cracked seals caused by old oil or an overheating engine due to clogged coolant passages.
We recommend a slightly higher maintenance frequency than the factory schedule suggests. This isn’t just based on experience and intuition – it’s backed by what we see in practice. For example, replacing gearbox oil after 10,000 km is definitely worthwhile.
