From Driveway Repairs to Europe’s #1
It began in 2002, somewhere deep in the Mongolian countryside, inside a tired Bukhanka that shook, rattled and roared its way through the dust. The roads were rough, the air dry, and the van just kept going. That trip didn’t just end, it planted the seed for what would become UAZparts.com.
By 2014, the first 469 had arrived in the Netherlands from Germany. Solid. Honest. Out of place in a quiet street, but perfect in the right hands. Before long, the driveway was full: a 1960s GAZ with Cold War history, a DDR-built 469 with stubborn quirks, a Polish Bukhanka radio van still alive with USSR-era electronics, an overlanding Bukhanka with rooftop tent, and the blue giant we call “The Hulk.”
Neighbours got used to the view. Other UAZ owners started showing up with questions, broken parts and the kind of problems you can only explain by pointing at them. That driveway became a meeting place. The meeting place became a network. The network became UAZparts.com.
