This thermostat housing set fits UAZ Bukhanka Classic models with 2.4 L and 2.9 L carburetor engines, as well as UAZ Hunter & 469 models with the 2.9 L carburetor engine. It is a complete assembly including the aluminum housing, thermostat unit, and sealing gasket. Designed to regulate coolant flow and stabilize engine operating temperatures, this part plays a critical role in preventing overheating and ensuring reliable cold-weather warm-up. Because it is a genuine factory casting, it delivers the correct fit and durability expected from original UAZ components.

Installation tips:
Clean the mounting surface on the engine block thoroughly before fitting. Always use the included gasket or an approved sealant. Tighten bolts gradually by hand, then torque evenly to approximately 10–12 Nm to avoid cracking the aluminum housing. After reassembly, refill the cooling system and bleed air pockets to restore proper circulation.
When to replace?
Replace the thermostat housing when the engine shows signs of overheating, when coolant leaks are present, or if the existing housing is cracked or warped. It is also recommended to change it during a full cooling system service or when restoring a classic UAZ vehicle to reliable running condition.

Order Processing Times
- Orders are processed within 1–2 business days after payment confirmation.
- Orders placed after 14:00 (CET), on weekends or public holidays will ship the next business day.
- If an item is out of stock or custom-made, we will notify you within 24 hours.
Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are calculated during checkout based on:
- Destination country
- Total weight and dimensions
- Shipping method selected (Standard or Express)
Large, heavy or oversized items (e.g. bumpers, roof racks) may incur surcharges. For bulk shipments or pallets, contact us for a custom freight quote.
Duties, VAT & Customs
EU Customers: No customs or import fees apply. All shipments are sent from the Netherlands.
Non-EU Customers (e.g. UK, Norway, Switzerland): Import duties, VAT, and local handling charges are not included and must be paid by the recipient. Refusal to pay these charges may result in the shipment being returned or destroyed, which is outside our responsibility.
Tracking & Delivery
Once your order is dispatched, you will receive an email with a tracking link. All shipments are:
- Fully trackable
- Insured against loss or damage
- Delivered with signature or collection point confirmation
Please track your shipment proactively. Missed deliveries may require collection from a local pickup point.
Delivery Issues & Returns
UAZPARTS.COM is not liable for delays or failed deliveries due to:
- Incorrect or incomplete shipping address provided by the customer
- Unclaimed packages returned to sender
- Customs clearance delays (for non-EU destinations)
- Force majeure events (strikes, weather, etc.)
If a package is returned to us due to failed delivery, we will contact you to arrange reshipment at your expense. Unclaimed or refused shipments may be refunded minus shipping and return costs.
Damaged Shipments
Upon delivery, inspect your package carefully. If damaged:
- Report the issue to the courier immediately
- Take clear photos of the outer box, label, and item
- Contact us at info@uaz-specials.com within 48 hours
Damage claims submitted later than 48 hours may be denied by the carrier and are outside our liability.
